Gift Ideas, Part One: Video Grams!

"What's a Christmas Gram? I want one!"
- Buddy the Elf

Creating something unique and customized is one of my most favorite gifts to give. People laugh, they cry, and they come back for more. Seeing as the holidays, happy holidays, are upon us, I want to share some gift ideas, Featuring:

{video grams}Digital Journaling, a few possibilities include:

*Preserve memories, faces, voices, and personalities,
*Celebrate the life of a parent or grandparent by capturing their words and mannerisms on camera,
*Document family memories,
*Put your awesome dance moves on a video for your better half...

Just one Example:

These two lovely ladies came up with a few memories about their mom, or that included their mom, and reenacted them for her as a Christmas gift.

Just another Example:

p.s. This is just a portion of the complete video to show a brief example. We asked her all sorts of questions, and got some great answers. This is my Grandma-in -law, Mary. Questions were submitted by many of her grandkids. A brief highlight reel was shown at the family Christmas party, and all of Mary's kids were given a gift-wrapped copy of the entire production. Oh, and it was all a SUPRISE for them!

Casey and Jason Wedding Day Highlites

August 20th was a perfect day for a wedding in Logan, UT. Everything looked beautiful, and seemed to fit these two perfectly, down to the fair style dutch oven scones and cowboy/cowgirl bride and groom boots. Thanks for letting me be apart of it!

songs: "Long Trip Alone" by Dierks Bentley and "I've Just Seen a Face" an Across the Universe cover

Here are the invitations done by Tosha Seeholzer, which are some of my most favorite I've ever seen:

County Fair

"'aint nothin I know of, can make you fall in love like a night at the county fair!" agreed. This song and location seemed to fit these two very well. How can you not feel giddy with all of the rides, sounds, smells, tastes.... mmm. And it doesn't hurt that Casey {the bride} is a true beauty with "green eyes and golden hair" just like the song says.

We played this county fair lovin' at the end of their "growing-up" slideshow movie during their wedding day luncheon and reception. See what fun pre-wedding day footage can be?

I was very excited to get to work next to Lindsey of Lindsey Hale Photography. Love her pictures and she is a good friend. Here are just a few:

Her blog will have more pictures coming soon: Lindsey Hale Photography.

Taking the Plunge

Tosha and I realized how long we can NOT hold our breath. Shocker. A lot harder than we expected, but our lovelies (Sean and Bryn) wanted something waterific, so we did our best. "Next time"... that is what we keep saying, because now we have lots of ideas for next time. Love these two and their unique style. Tosha took the stills and also created their announcement. She does my personal favorite design work, more examples from her to come. For now, check out this Birds of a Feather production:

I tried to get a few still shots out of the video, but they all turned out kinda fuzzy because the movement was so fast. Here is one that works with the fuzziness:
