Mary & Ryan Burr

The Jones family is full of beautiful women, and Mary is no exception. I love this family, I loved being here, and it was a honor to be included in their day of love.

August 19th is a special wedding day in my family, as it belongs to my own parents, my grandparents, and also my dad's brothers. Now Ryan & Mary :)

Congratulations!!

"Here Comes Your Man" covered by Meaghan Smith
"You Make My Dreams Come True" Hall & Oates
"You Are the Best Thing" Ray LaMontagne

Side Note: As I am learning this process, it's so nice to have friendly and talented photographers to work along side- especially because we are together, shoulder to shoulder, ALL DAY! I was able to work with Jessica Kettle and Jessica White, who were great, and undoubtedly did an amazing job. Check them out, especially Utah area peeps.

This wedding was in Salt Lake City, UT.

I love my designer, Tosha Seeholzer, and the custom DVD creations she does for the final creation:

Nicole & Ryan's California Dance Party...

These Taylors & Barlows know how to keep a party rockin. I LOVE when there is never a shortage of dance moves to film. These two are very much in love, and if you don't believe me... just watch the re-cap.

Congrats Nikki and Ryan! It really was an honor to be there. Dance on.

Music: "Fever" by Peggy Lee, "Divide Me" by Kalai, "What I Like About You" by The Romantics

This wedding was in California, Bay Area.

Kim & David: Destination Bahamas

I feel so lucky to have been invited to this wedding... in NASSAU, BAHAMAS! I love to see the world, and this was a blast to go and be with friends from highschool. Kim (the bride) is beautiful and they are a popular couple. So many people flew in for them and it really was an awesome wedding. Their photographer Ben Jaimeson, now a local, was a real pleasure to work with. As I am learning this whole business and process, it is so nice to have professionals encourage and support me.

Anyways, wanna see their highlites?? Here they are, Mr. & Mrs. Conner. Congrats guys!

Kim & David: Coming Soon!

More to come, I just couldn't resist sharing a few shots from Kim & David's Bahamas wedding...! So, enjoy just a taste...

the Unveiling

My Wednesday went something like this:

1. "Husband, no you can't leave the house today until you sign for it!"
2. Call at noon telling me "it's here!"
3. Get home from work, change into comfy clothes, and then:

4. Stop for a quick photoshoot with the bubbly-wrap (Naturally.)

Finally...

I did it. Finally, I made a decision and a commitment that feels GIANT for me. I have been thinking about, asking about, researching about cameras for over a year now. I'll be honest here, I can struggle with decisions. The larger they are, the more risk involved= the greater the inner turmoil. I just don't want to make the "Wrong" choice.

When it comes to camera's and all the specifics of professional video and equipment, I really am quite lost. Oh wow, does it feel overwhelming. I know what I want to create, and see these final projects in my head... but, how do I make them so other people can see? So I asked and asked and asked, and with out a real mentor to really get into this with, I received quite an extensive variety of opinions.

So, what was my response to this? To.......Keep....Waiting.....and....Agonizing...... and..... Waiting.....

Oh, the wisdom of my dear mother and Goethe. A few months ago I recieved suprise mail from Tokyo that was this:

Which has stared me down from my cork board near everyday since, telling me exactly what I need to do. Ready for some more motivation? 'Cause it's comin: {Thanks to miss Amy for posting these for me just in time}

So, today I "Began it".... and here is what that looks like:

Is this where I say something like, "One big step for
Purdy Birdy, one giant leap for Tia"?

3 days from now these bad boys will be sitting on my door step! Looks like video just became a little more permanent passion of mine. {FIST PUMP}

Video Cards

My best friends {Porter & Michelle} are two completely fun people. We wanted to play around with a video Christmas card- save on postage and trees, right? As a disclaimer- we had nothing pre-planned, little time, no idea what was going to be available in this little ski town, and no music to coordinate with :) But still, the Foulgers are cute enough to look at no matter what.

Merry Christmas!
